My Oasis
Sometimes I lose my line
I find the one place I feel whole
Where all my thoughts align
And my spirits high
The city moves outside tree walls
And towers touch the sky
This sacred spot is where I pray
It’s where I feel alive
My church has concrete borders
And Mother Earth inside
As I travel through these nameless faces
Tapestries of life
Healing comes to me in my oasis
Central Park paints mine
Sometimes I choose a path and go
My senses all feel heightened
The earth it seems to move below
As lives are passing by
A place of love for young and old
Where stone is unrefined
I close my eyes and truth is told
It gives me piece of mind
As I travel through these nameless faces
Tapestries of life
Healing comes to me in my oasis
Central Park paints mine
