Morro Bay Morning

Morro Bay Morning
Monterey evening
Big Sur shoreline calls to me

A hundred miles of coast serenity

Seaside roads turn to hairpin cliff curves
And mountains roll into the sea

The scent of ocean breathes new life in me
The song I hear is summer breeze
Reflecting like the sun through memories

And I think of our last morning
The sound of breaking waves
How the sun shined through the window
And the cool wind kissed your face
And I daydream as I ride to clear my head

Morro Bay Morning, Monterey evening
Big Sur shoreline calls to me

Big Creek Bridge now passes under me

Seaside roads turn to hairpin cliff curves
1000 feet down to the sea

A condor dances on the ocean breeze
A bluff trail finds a hidden beach
And  waterfalls that can’t be seen…

And baby this ride has shone a light on me
And maybe that’s how I know just what I need
I’ve come to see things somehow I always knew
I know now baby the only one is you

Maybe I’m wrong
But I think were right
It took me so long
Now I’ve seen the light
I’m driving this coast
To see you again
The Morro Bay start
And Monterey end to find you
